In our first year collaborating with the American Trust for the British Library (see above), eight MAA grantwinners applied for supplementary funding from ATBL to support research at the British Library. Two grants were awarded: Tiago Viula de Faris (winner of the 2026 Belle da Costa Greene Award from the MAA) received the 2026-2027 Martha Driver ATBL-MAA Research Fellowship to support research for his book project, Falconry: Cultural Syncretism in Medieval and Early Modern Portugal (c. 1100–1600). Katherine Churchill (recipient of a 2026 Olivia Remie Constable Award) received a 2026-2027 ATBL-MAA Research Fellowship to support research for her book project, Archival Entanglements: Poetry, Posterity, and Late Medieval English and French Literature.
