MAA News – Spring Travel Grants Awarded

We are very pleased to announce the winners of the Spring 2026 Travel Grants, supporting travel to conferences for medievalists with little or no institutional travel funding: Alex G. Fairbanks-Ukropen will be presenting a paper titled “From /Weste/ to Wonder: The Necropolitics of Sacred Spaces in /Guthlac A/ and /B/” at the 2027 Annual Meeting of the Modern Langague Association in Los Angeles, and Wendy Pfeffer recently traveled to Brussels to present a paper titled “A Troubadour in Los Angeles: Gui Folqueys, ‘Lo .vii. gaugz de la mayre de Dieu'” at the XVe Congrès de l’Association internationale d”etudes occitanes.
